Movie Time! -- Taken 2 --

As the events of the first Taken in Paris was over, you would think that it's the end of Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills. Not quite, it's only beginning.

After the events of Taken, relatives of the men whom Bryan killed in Taken are back in their country of Albania to partake in the dead mens' funeral. The men that Bryan killed in search of his daughter, Kim (played by Maggie Grace), are seeking revenge. Leader and employer of the armed men, Murad, (played by Rade Šerbedžija), tells the men that they will find him and they will seek revenge. As we know from the original Taken, Bryan killed Murad's son, Marko, by electricution, leading to the plan of the revenge.

Bryan goes to his ex wife's house to take Kim to a driver's test but his ex-wife Lennore, (played by Famke Janssen), tells him that she was with her new boyfriend. Lenore was currently having relationship problems with her current husband, causing him to cancel the planned trip they had to China. Learning this, Bryan tells Lenore that they can come with him to Istanbul after he is finished with his work. At first, they showed no interest but he was surprised when Lenore and Kim flown out to join him.

When Bryan makes plans to go out, Kim stays at the hotel where Bryan worked at, in hopes of her parents spending time together to work out their old relationship. When they were out, they were folloed by Murad's men. Bryan gives his wife directions but despite the effort, they both get taken in the end.

Before Bryan gets taken, he calls his daughter using a small communication device and tells her that he and Lenore was taken, giving her directions to hide so that she could evade the kidnappers. She succeeds in the end of it all.

Giving Kim directions, she find out where he is located and she drops a gun down the small chimney of the place where he was located. He uses the gun to kill the remaining guards that were keeping an eye out on them and he leaves Lenore to save his daughter who was being chased down by the other guards.

Bryan returns to rescue Lenore but is too late because she has switched locations. It forces Bryan and Kim to get in a taxi chase with Murad's men and the police with Kim driving and Bryan shooting. The chase ended when they stopped at a military checkpoint leading to the  U.S. Embassy.

Bryan calls Sam, (played by Leland Orser), a former  CIA colleague to call off the Embassy guards so they won't get shot at. He tells Kim to stay at the Embassy and wiat for him and her mother's return.

When he finds Lenore, he kills off the remaining guards and he finds Murad hiding. After learning that Murad had two more sons, he gives him a chance to walk away and to reunite with his sons and forget that all of it ever happend. Murad agrees so Bryan drops his gun. When Bryan drops his gun, Murad immidietly picks it up, attempting to shoot him but he soon learns that Bryan emptied out the magazine. Bryan soon kills him instantly.

In the end of the movie, Kim gets a perfect score on her driver's test and they get together at a cafe as a family and Bryan is surprised that they are joined by Kim's boyfriend, Jamie., (which Bryan was not a fan of at first). The movie ends when Kim jokingly asks his father not to shoot him and the scene disappears while the family bickers playfully.

Personally I think the action and the way the movie turned out went good altogether. The way things played out was extraordinary and Oliver Megaton is such a great director. I give this movie a 9.5/10!
